On hearing this title some may ask," How does this generation gap work?"
Now the different thought process and decisions, or different opinions take us to the generation gap.
We, of this 20's generation have a different sort of thinking which is completely different from our elders or rather basically our parents. The circumstances and problems that we face today are
much different from the things our parents had faced . On doing a small research of our generation we can say that we are the GenZ (like from 1990- 2010) and next comes the millennial children from 2011. This is quite difficult to understand but more difficulties come when it's about mentality, independence and freedom.
The easy facilities which GenZ have got were not there for our parents which they often say comparing to our situation. Its known that parents won't say or do anything to harm their children, but isn't it necessary to understand their thoughts and mentality too ?
Hardly, now a days parents talk freely about aims and ambitions to their children. It's just about what is best to do and how it will be successful.
It is absolutely not necessary to do the same thing that more than 10 people are doing and get successful, everyone doesn't have that capacity. All have a self potential to do something different and which is not acceptable.
Generation gap are caused by increased life expectancy, rapid changes in society, and the mobility of society. This mainly brings conflicts between parents and children.
Children increasingly rely on personal technological devices like cell phones to define themselves and create social circles apart from their families, changing the way they communicate with their parents.
And suicide is also one of the effects of generation gap.
However hard children may try to express their thoughts to the older generation, more and more conflicts arise. And this is a serious issue to deal with. The next generations will also face the problem of generation gap and then it will be our responsibility to have a caring and understanding behavior so that our children do not feel isolated and can freely share their thoughts and feelings.
